Wiping! The constant wiping!

Wiping! The constant wiping!

Every week I look at The Reading Residence’s very interesting linkup Word of the Week, and try to think of a word that’ll sum my week up. Usually I find that every day has been so varied and different, there’s no theme or word to define the week.

This week is very different.

Here’s the first clue why:

noah first food milestone card

Yes, we introduced Noah to food. It was a bit of dilemma as to whether we’d wait or go for it. I’m glad we started except it’s been a messy experience of course! The wiping of the table, floor, arms, head, and other places is a thing I’d forgotten about weaning James.

I’m also trying to combat the dust in the house. James has allergy testing on Monday and we’ve had to stop his antihistamine before he goes. His snoring in the meantime is astonishing and we are all bleary eyed because of his repeated night waking.

So I’ve been wiping and dusting.

And as a consequence of not having antihistamines, I have also spent a lot of time wiping James’ nose.

He’s cooking up a pan of (toy) chocolate fingers and (toy) chocolate

So this morning, when James asked to do painting, and when I said no, baking, it was fake baking he’s had to do – just because I can’t bear any more wiping! Fortunately we are using reusable wipes, because I dread to think of the cost of all the wet wipes I’d have gone through!

Ha ha, no-one would blame you for that! Glad you managed to find a word that summed up your week so perfectly – there’ll always be a word, the trick is to find it 🙂 Thanks for joining in and sharing with #WotW

That does sound like a very appropriate word of the week! Hope the allergy testing goes well and weaning carries on successfully (and messily!). #wotw

Haha even the title of this made chuckle as we are weaning too and oh the wiping. I think I use about a pack of wipes a day at the moment! Argh! 🙂 lovely post thank you for linking with #MaternityMondays x

Definitely! I switched pretty early on in the weaning process with my first son. Other wise I dread to think of the cost of all this wiping!! I am finding that 32 reusable wipes last about two minutes though, so I need to get some more, really!

We are doing lots of wiping too with weaning. I have never been through so many wipes!
