Tynemouth clock tower

Tynemouth clock tower

Tonight, the sun was setting and painting the sky such a beautiful pink. So I bundled James and Noah in the car and we headed to Tynemouth to watch the sunset.

We got to the priory, with the aim of wandering down the hill and along to Collingwood monument. However, James had other ideas when he saw the clock tower.

He loves the clock tower, and calls it the little house. He says his friend lives there, and every time we go nearby, he has to stop and knock on the door.

Today he noticed that the door has two keyholes, and so pretended he had a key. He couldn’t find the right key to open the door, though.

We stood and played with the house for half an hour, then went to see the sea. A boat was waiting to go up the Tyne. It looked like it had Christmas lights on; really nicely lit up! My phone wasn’t good enough to take a decent photo, however.

Then we turned around to go for our walk, followed by a delicious chocolate milkshake!

It looks like you had a fabulous evening out, I love that James thinks his friend lives in the clock tower. Kids have the greatest imagination, how many keys did he think he had? Chocolate milkshake sounds like the best way to end the trip out! Thanks for linking up with Country Kids.
