Magic Tracks review

My kids absolutely LOVE Magic Tracks, and there are many reasons why we, as parents do too!

Firstly, it’s super exciting to stay up after your little brother has already gone to bed so that you can “help mummy” see what Magic Tracks is like to tell other boys and girls if it’s any good. James was so thrilled that I asked him to make the track. The track is fully customisable. I mean, fully customisable. It is made of tiny little sections so that it bends easily, even as the car is going around. You can make a really tight circuit, or a wide loop.

Making the Magic Track!

The sections connect into each other like a jigsaw, and my 4 year old learned quickly how to connect and separate the track. It’s an exciting toy, and so easy to clip together.

We were also sent a tunnel kit, which is like a bridge and a tunnel, and the track is laid on the top. The car climbs the hill of the bridge and then zooms down the other side. Magic Tracks are lots of fun! You can loop the track around so that it goes under the tunnel as well as over the bridge.

James tried to make a really, really tall tower out of building blocks so that the car would have to climb a really big hill. It took a lot of changes, adjustments and going again, until he figured out the optimum tower height of Magic Tracks.

Magic Tracks Car

The car takes 3 AAA batteries, and to put them in you will need a really small Phillips screwdriver. The car is operated by pressing the button on the roof. The Magic Tracks car is seriously fast! It sticks to the track really well, and runs on carpets and hard wood floor, too.

Tidying the Magic Tracks

Magic Tracks are so fun, but at some point the play has to end. We love how tidy the Magic Tracks is – simply roll up and that’s it!

We received a sheet of stickers in our box, which the boys worked together to decorate the car and the tunnel. There are several road signs in the pack, too, although I chose to put the stickers on those so that the boys could concentrate on playing!
