Gift Guide: What to buy a travel lover

Gift Guide: What to buy a travel lover

We’ve just got back from our trip to Thailand (you can see lots of our photos on instagram) and we are having to make a very swift transition from beach life straight into Christmas!

So to pull the two themes together I’ve created a list of gifts for the travel lover. Hopefully thinking about presents will focus my mind that we’ve less than a month to go! Eeep!

For while they’re away

A happy sunny bag

I love pretty much everything by Happy Jackson, but this bright coloured bag (rrp £3.99) looks pretty handy for taking things to the beach, the laundry, or simply after grocery shopping. wild wolf happy sunshine bag christmas gift guide for travel lovers

Keep it clean

This is such a practical idea I really wish I had spotted this before we left for Thailand. The Scrubba Wash Bag is a bag you put your dirty clothes in and, using the scrubbing board inside, you wash them! It also doubles up as a dry bag, which is useful for boat trips and also on the beach for keeping your wet bikini separate from dry things in a bag. They claim it is twice as effective as hand washing, and as it packs up really small, I would love to give this a try, and probably so would any travel lover with a trip coming up where their baggage allowance isn’t too generous. (rrp £44.08)

Power up

There’s nothing worse than being out and about while running out of battery power. To ensure this doesn’t happen, gift your travel loving friend a power bank. This one looks particularly good because it can hold enough juice for two devices and it doubles as a torch – perfect for when there’s a electricity failure in small far-flung places. (rrp £29.99 but currently on offer with £10 off).

Perfect to slip into cabin baggage, this is a totally practical gift for your travel enthusiast friend. A plug adapter for all destinations, this also has a USB slot to avoid that need for an extra outlet. (rrp £30.00)

Fun stuff at home

Sometimes all you do as a travel lover is wish you were somewhere else. Make their home cosy with a little print for their wall. (from £15)

This is such a fun cushion for travel enthusiasts (and lots of other folk too!), and would look sweet on most sofas. (rrp £28)

This is another fun print for lovers of the French capital (and who doesn’t love Paris?) and will be sure to be loved to brighten up the walls of a travel lover.

I hope you liked these gift ideas for travelers. If you’d like anything from this guide, be sure to share this post with your friends to drop the hint!
