Days out with a toddler linky – November 2017

Days out with a toddler linky is open from the first Saturday in the month for two weeks. Welcome to November’s linky!

You can link up any blog post, YouTube video, or Instagram photo about days out you’ve been on with a toddler, either indoor or outdoor; as long as a toddler went along you can link up here!

I will comment on every post and if you tweet me the link including #daysoutwithatoddler I will RT your post. I’m @tweetinghelena.

The idea behind a linky is to engage, and find new blogs to read so please do try and visit a few blogs and leave nice comments. Ultimately you join because you want other people to read your post, so please extend that idea to others.

My favourite days out with a toddler

My favourite Instagram photo in October was this from Small House Big Trips, who regularly shares really useful information on places they visit with their toddler. The whole account is definitely worth a follow!

Location: Essington Farm, Bognop Rd, WV11 2AZ @essingtonfarm Price: Free Entry, Pumpkins priced from £1.95 – £6.95 Those who follow this instablog of reviews will remember me visiting Essington PYO farm in August when we came to pick plums. Well, entering my favourite season, autumn. We decided to return for the PYO pumpkin fields. This time with MrTrips. We were told over 40,000 pumpkins were planted this year and they were not wrong. The fields were the fullest I have ever seen them. Pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and different shades of orange (and some green). I think I saw some of the biggest pumpkins I have ever seen. We used the free tractor ride taking us to and from the field. The queues were minimal and it was such a nice experience. If you didnt fancy pulling out your own pumpkin from its roots (remember to bring gloves, the stems are a bit prickly), you can pick your own pumpkin from the pre picked pumpkins in the polytunnel located by the main entrance. Inside the polytunnel were toy ride on tractors for kids (again free to use), a selection of Halloween sweet treats and drinks and pumpkin carving kits, and a photo booth section. Make sure you get your little ones to pose as you could win an afternoon tea with Santa for the best photo. There's a lovely shop and cafe here and the place is very child friendly with good toilet facilities for little ones. The girls had so much fun today and we will continue to make this a yearly tradition. My favourite blog post from the October linky was this family day out at Gypsy Wood, Bontnewydd, from Life As Mum – you have got to go and check out those gorgeous photos. Also, one of my favourite things about this post was the inclusion of photos of Beth with her son, Freddie, and of Beth and her partner. Perhaps ordinary, but something special because I know that I’m usually the one taking photos and I’m rarely in them. What about you?

November’s Days out with a Toddler Linky

I’m joining this month with our day out at Whitworth Hall Country Park. We visited there a couple of years ago and it is so lovely to look back on the autumnal photos and little James being so brave feeding deer!
